Lazy weekends

It's a chilly 14 deg this morning. While this may not seem cold to some of you, we live in the tropics. So it's a little bit cold. 

Last night Rob, Colleen and Sarah came to dinner. I am lucky to be surrounded constantly by such wonderful friends. I cooked a yummy dinner. Silverside. Whole baby potatoes, roast pumpkin, sweet potato, carrot. Zucchini, cauliflower, cabbage, potato bake and garlic bread. Yum! And of course white sauce and gravy. 

We have a quiet sweetens planned. Just pottering around the house. Kalyb was at a sleepover last night, Tarni is off to a birthday party tonight. 

Tarnis birthday

Yesterday was tarnis 12th birthday. We spoilt her. Just a little bit!

On Saturday Tarni, Eric , Kalyb,Zoe, Vicki, Emma, Sarah and Phoebe went off to watch Iron man 3. After the movies they were treated to poffertjes at lukabean. Yum!

Sunday was Motgers day and miss T birthday. 

She got:

A new jumper from supre 

A baby g watch

Some new clothes

A Paris doona cover in red black and white

A whole lot of wall art- Paris style

And a susheze. Miss T's favourite food is sushi. This machine makes perfect sushi. You pack in the rice and fillings. Then squeeze and twist onto the nori sheets. Perfect sushi. We had planned on going to sushi train for dinner but instead miss t created amazing sushi at home. Plus sushi for lunches!

Mothers Day

Life is crazy

I have been very quiet on here lately. Life is crazy!

I'm loving having my son back with us. Even though things are crazy ( and I promise to talk about it soon) it's nice to see him every day. 

The bigger girls are over the moon that their brother is home, and every day after homework they are out playing soccer in the front yard, and minecraft together on their i- doodads. 

The babies are really getting to know him too. Lex calls him "kabub" and Ariana laughs ��

I've been busy rearranging the house ( making a big mess), looking after the kiddos and getting things organised for July ( but that's a whole other post). 

Miss T got offered a part scholarship to grammar. We are very proud of her, but she does have a preference for another school, and she has had her interview. So just waiting to see how she went. 

It's Saturday

Another week has gone by and I am up at 4am farewelling hubby and the kids. Zoe piped up and asked if she could go for the drive. Sure honey ��
So they are off.

I will miss Kalyb and his constant chattering and hugs. I am proud of the young man he is fast becoming. He is a very sweet gentle child, and watching him grow and learn has been a beautiful journey. While I do hate that he is with his dad full time, I know he is doing well there, loves school and his friends and his girlfriend.
I don't hate that he is with his dad as much as I had that he isn't with me. But he is growing up and I also left home at this age, so really I can't say too much!


Akira and Tempe are here. The most beautiful dogs ( behind our old drakkar of course). They certainly put up with a bit this week and came out with flying colours.

Akira ( the black one) is still a bit of a silly puppy but very very smart. He learnt that he could look into the bathroom window to see what's going on. He can also jump the fence into the laundry area ( it's only knee high) but thankfully doesn't eat washing. He also learnt that sebby doesn't care how big a dog you are, he will still swipe!

Tempe is a beautiful natured girl. She has not long had pups ( and gotten spayed) so she is quieter. She will still play but happy to sit for pats. She follows lex around the yard and sniffles at his ears, and stands guard when he is on the trampoline.

Wow

My son is coming home today.

So today I get to be a mad chicken and organise schools and support and making a room for him.

You know along with cleaning the house, doing the groceries and everything else that was planned!

While the husband is away

And I'm cranky haha. I took a break from cleaning to sit in the aircon while these babies drifted off to sleep and watched this!
OMG a new favourite movie. Sigh. Beautiful. And one that speaks to you.
